Weights of hamsters can vary enormously from as little as 20g for a Dwarf Russian hamster to 140g for a Golden Syrian hamster. Using the energy density of the product, the quantity of food required to fulfil the hamsters daily energy requirements (based on body weight and life stage) may be calculated. These are shown in the table below. Hamsters have different levels of activity, and so the quantity fed should be adjusted to maintain body weight (weekly weighing is recommended to monitor the hamsters weight). Divide the daily amount into two, feed one portion in the morning and one in the evening. It is important to ensure that all the ingredients in HARRY HAMSTER are eaten so that the correct quantity and balance of nutrients are absorbed. Changing to HARRY HAMSTER HARRY HAMSTER should be introduced gradually into the hamsters diet. This care minimises the risk of digestive upsets that can occur with abrupt changes of diet. Mix HARRY HAMSTER in the same feeding dish with the hamsters normal food. Slowly increase the quantity of HARRY HAMSTER and decrease the quantity of the previous food over a 10-day period. |
